The Taichung City Government and PilotGaea jointly used 3D GIS pipeline system and road patrol AR technology, combined with monitor monitoring system, to develop the world's first "mobile virtual-reality integrated monitoring system" combined with the Internet of Things technology to make the construction safer, the future is expected to expand to disaster prevention and rescue and smart city and other fields.

In recent years, there have been many incidents of water or gas pipelines being breached in various counties and cities, even causing injuries and deaths. The Taichung City Government and PilotGaea are using 3D GIS pipeline system and road patrol AR technology to combine the monitor system to develop the world's first VR Integrated Monitoring System, which can display useful information in the pipeline database in AR on the monitor screen, and can directly query the pipeline, facilities on the monitor screen. In addition to video monitoring, the VR Integrated Monitoring System has been further developed into a mobile Internet of Things (IoT) carrier by incorporating IoT technology and using intelligent carriers to mount IoT sensors to provide comprehensive construction monitoring.

With the concept of innovation and decades of experience in system development, PilotGaea has successfully integrated real-time video images, real-time IoT sensor data, and existing public facility pipeline data, using AR technology to merge virtual and reality into one, which is expected to significantly improve the efficiency and safety of Taichung City. In the future, it is expected to be extended to the fields of disaster prevention and rescue and smart city through its on-the-fly and cloud-based IoT real-time sensing technology.
